Postingan sebelumnya mengangkat tema serial drama bergenre sains (fiksi ilmiah) dan misteri, kali ini pure bergenre sains dokumenter berjudul Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey. Film ini merupakan turunan dari seri televisi Cosmos: A Personal Voyage (1980) yang dibawakan oleh Carl Sagan di Public Broadcasting Service dan dianggap sebagai batu loncatan bagi dokumenter ilmiah. Acara ini dibawakan oleh astrofisikawan Neil deGrasse Tyson yang terinspirasi oleh Carl Sagan saat masih remaja menginjak bangku sekolah. Serial ini mengikuti format tiga belas episode dan penyampaian isi yang sama seperti Cosmos versi aslinya, termasuk elemen-elemen seperti “Ship of the Imagination” dan “Cosmic Calendar“, tetapi informasi yang diberikan lebih baru ketimbang versi 1980 diiringi grafis komputer dan animasi.
